Initial Applications
The applicants are required to score 30 points for visa letter and 10 points under maintenance sections in order to seek entry clearance or leave to remain as a student in the UK under Tier 4 (c).

oints can be claimed as under:
Visa Letter:
30 points. This is a confirmation of enrolment given by a Tier 4 Licensed educational institution giving all the necessary details regarding the enrolment, details of course, details of applicant, required documents and payment of fees.

Maintenance:
10 points. The applicant can claim 10 points under this section by showing the required amount of money (Please see tables below) for maintenance, in addition to the balance remaining for the first years tuition fee.

Care Arrangements:
This section does not award any points to the applicant but it is necessary to fulfill the requirements and provide necessary documents.

Successful applicants are given leave to remain or entry clearance for the whole duration of course and also given some extra time. The visa can further be extended to do another course in the UK, if the applicant wishes to continue his studies.

Extension Applications
The applicants are required to score 30 points for visa letter and 10 points under maintenance sections in order to seek entry clearance or leave to remain as a student in the UK under Tier 4 (c).

The required maintenance is based on the age, duration and location of the course, the full details of which are provided as below:
