This is also the latest version of the Investor category where investors are required to invest 1 Million GBP and maintain that investment for the entire period of leave to remain in the UK.

Initial Applications

The applicants are required to score a minimum of 75 points under Attributes section only. There is however no need to fulfill the requisites of maintenance and English language.

Points can be claimed as under:

Attributes:

Having 1 Million GBP in cash funds or having 2 Million GBP worth of properties / assets and having arranged a loan of 1 Million GBP from a financial institution regulated by FSA. (75 points)

Successful applicants are given leave to remain or entry clearance for a maximum period of 3 years that can further be extended for another 2 years subject to meeting new rules and the set criteria.

Extension Applications

The applicants are required to score a minimum of 75 points under Attributes section only.

Points can be claimed as under:
Attributes:

	Having 1 million GBP under control or having 2 Million GBP worth of properties and having a loan of 1 million GBP arranged by a FSA regulated financial institution (30 points)
	Having invested 750,000 GBP according to the rules (30 points)
	Having made investment within 3 months from the date of arrival in the UK (15 points).

Successful applicants are given leave to remain for a maximum period of 2 years and on completion of total 5 years under Tier 1 (G), the applicant can make an application for ILR, provided he has fulfilled all the necessary requisites.
