This is also a conformation of right of residence for Non EEA family members of EEA nationals who are exercising their treaty rights in one of the following ways:

	Having completed 12 months of registration under WRS (A 8 only)
	Working as an employee (all except A- 8 & A2 nationals)
	Working as a self employed person
	Self sufficient person
	Studying in the UK

This is usually valid for 5 years and at the end, the family member can apply for permanent residence in the UK. This confirms the right of residence and also gives the application right to work or engage in business activities in the UK.

This can only be made by post and while the applicant is residing in the UK.
