The young people of Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand can apply under this category to experience the life in the United Kingdom and also work in the UK. It is a quota based scheme and every year the Home Office announces the quota for above mentioned countries.

It is a PBS application and applicants need to claim 50 points successfully that can be done as follows:

	Nationality: Applicants can claim 30 points if he is national of Canada, Japan, New Zealand or Australia.
	Age : Applicants can only get 10 points under this section if his age is between 18 to 31.
	Maintenance (Funds): Applicant should have 1,600 GBP as savings to claim the 10 points.

Applicants will need to apply for entry clearance and they are given entry clearance valid for two years. The successful applicants are free to do any kind of work (except doctors at training or professional sportsperson) and even self employment (subject to certain terms and conditions). Those who have previously spent time in UK as working holiday maker are not allowed to apply under this category.
